Aviation Production Association named after Yu.A. Gagarin (KNAAPO) is founded in 1932. Currently, KnAAPO enters AVPK "Sukhoy". The main activity of the Association is aircraft construction and its main products are military aircraft (namely, SU-27, SU-30 MK, SU-33 and SU-35 fighters). In addition, the enterprise produces small-sized, special and business aircraft (Be-103 amphibian plane) as well as 'Strela" and "Amur" boats. The Association executes export military contracts and is a local economic mainstay. In order to improve the performance of the enterprise a cost reduction programme has been carried out since 2000. It includes works related to energy resources automation.
Objectives and tasks
- Creating an automated electric power commercial accounting system at the enterprise;
- Creating an automated energy resources technical accounting system.
- Providing an opportunity to control electric power consumption in distributed areas.
- Providing differentiated tariffs and access to the wholesale energy market.
- Providing an opportunity to forecast energy resources consumption on the basis of the results for previous periods.
- Reducing costs of the enterprise as regards payment for electric power by short-term planning of a higher than specified 30 minutes energy maximum.
- Higher reliability of power supply by detecting and preventing emergencies in due time.
Solution
Automated systems of commercial and technical accounting of electric power and other energy resources have been worked out as the components of a Unified Information and Management System (EIUS) within the framework of the energy system of the enterprise. A system of technical accounting of the consumption of natural gas, steam, heat energy and wastes (over 100 places) has been installed. Automated working places (AWP) of power supply dispatchers enable the enterprise to control a power supply scheme and physical values of current, voltage and capacity of separate connections and their groups in real time and to exercise remote control over commuting devices in accordance with the existing switch plans.
As a result of the installation, the system will provide accounting of active and reactive power and capacity within the limits of the equipment's performance taking into account the existing subscribers and tariff consumer groups. In order to control the contracting power quality parameters, standard power quality control devices have been installed. Main and emergency channels providing communication with the local power supply services have also been arranged. The alarm subsystem will immediately inform the dispatcher about the power supply parameters exceeding the limits, unauthorized access to the site and fire.
Electric power technical accounting subsystem (ASTUE) provides an opportunity to receive detailed information on the consumption of electric power by separate technological devices and their groups for the current and previous reporting periods.
Result
By installing a complex automated commercial and technical accounting system (ASKUE, ASTUE) at KnAAPO IKT Engineering has performed all set objectives and tasks.
The installation of an automated energy resources commercial and technical accounting system has greatly helped to reduce the number of applications for consumption of electric power and other types of resources and also saves the financial resources of the enterprise.
